What Parts Does A Mobile Phone Battery Consist of? Leave a comment

Mobile phone batteries have three parts: battery cells, Protection board(BMS), and battery frames.

Battery cells (different specifications and capacities mAh) Function to provide energy storage. Specifications: Voltage 3.7V, capacity 1000-5000mAh; the higher the capacity, the longer the standby time.

The protection board is used to control the battery voltage from overcharge and over-discharge, control battery short circuit and overcurrent protection, etc. The components include circuit boards, ICs, various resistors and capacitors…

The battery frame, also called plastic shell or aluminum shell, is used to protect the battery cell and fix its shape. Lithium-ion batteries use plastic, while lithium polymer batteries use thinner aluminum shells.

Protection board, we call it the battery cable. The professional name is BMS (Battery Management System) – Battery Management System.
